Depoe Bay Sea Wall
As you walk down the Sea Wall in Depoe Bay, you may find yourself completely soaked if you’re not careful. Unknowing visitors can be in for quite the surprise while looking for whales amongst the rolling waves. When waves crash into the Sea Wall, a plume of water shoots upward with incredible force, knocking off hats, and leaving tourists looking for their rain coats.
I used to sit at the base of the wall, just out of the frame on the right side of this picture. In fact, that’s where I was sitting when I took this drone picture. The first summer that I lived in Depoe Bay, I spent almost every sunset in this spot, watching the clouds turn to fire as the sun set. It was a time full of personal reflection and growth that really shaped who I have become today.
